My first introduction to yoga was in High School. I was always very performance oriented and put a lot of pressure on myself and yoga helped me take enough rest. However, it was only when I dropped out of Medicine at 18 and started traveling in Asia, that I really fell in love with it. Coming back from my trip, I struggled a lot with myself. I had a low self-esteem, no idea what I wanted in life and developed an eating-disorder, I lost the connection with myself.
It was through yoga, that I gained control over my negative thoughts and emotions. The reconnection of my body, mind and soul helped me to slowly let go of the impossible expectations I had towards myself. Yoga taught me to live in the moment and be happy with what it is and along the way, brought me self-confidence and inner peace.
After 3 years of recovering and practicing daily, I decided I wanted to share everything yoga has to offer and did my 200 RYS Yoga Teacher Training. Every class I teach now, feels like a blessing to me and I know that I will never stop learning and sharing.
